New Ways 2 Work is a collaborative partnership of businesses, local authorities, transport providers and other organisations, each with a vested interest in encouraging and enabling sustainable travel choices.

For businesses and employers, the ease of getting around and getting goods and services to customers and clients is at the forefront of any business plan. Kent and the south east is a great place to do business but we all need to work together to ensure it stays that way.  Saving money and demonstrating Corporate Social Responsibility are great business reasons to promote sustainable travel choices to staff.

Local Authorities have responsibility for managing traffic flows, congestion and local air quality as well as promoting sustainable economic growth. Individual travel choices and corporate travel policies can have a major influence on the capacity of our road network. Congestion can affect us all, whether that be delaying our journey to work or reducing the efficiency of how we supply and move goods and services.

For individuals, the cost of commuting, business and leisure travel is becoming an ever increasing burden on our time and money. Whilst the car is a key part of how most of us get around, there may be occasions where alternatives are better for our finances,our health,the environment and better for the economy.

Transport operators and service providers are keen to promote and encourage more people to make use of the services they offer. They work closely with Kent County Council and partners through initiatives like Quality Bus Partnerships, to improve the service they provide.
